RRPD shares safety tips for Halloween
The Rio Rancho Police Department is reminding people to stay safe tonight during the Halloween fun.
“Safety comes first, even on Halloween. We want everyone to stay safe and have a scary good time,” a post from the department reads.
RRPD shared some tips on how to stay safe on this spooky holiday:
- Be visible: Wear bright, reflective costumes or reflective strips to stay visible.
- Pay attention: Put the electronic devices away and keep your head up to look both ways when crossing the street.
- Be alert: Watch for trick or treaters when driving. Slow down and scan the road.
RRPD units will be patrolling tonight. If an emergency arises call 911. For non-emergencies call 505-891-7226.
