RRPD arrests former fellow officer for DWI

RIO RANCHO — Rio Rancho Police Department confirmed May 9 that a former RRPD officer and current Santa Ana Police Officer was arrested for DWI.

An RRPD release states that Kristofer Martin was arrested at about 11 a.m. May 8 in Corrales Heights area.

The release said that the department was responding to a welfare check in the area stopped the truck Martin was driving. He was arrested for aggravated DWI.

The department noted that Martin retired from RRPD and is currently employed as a police office with the Santa Ana Police Department.
