RRFR responds to bosque fire
RIO RANCHO — Rio Rancho Fire and Rescue announced on Instagram July 10 that crews responded to a bosque fire July 8 in the Willow Creek area.
"The fire was quickly contained to 1/4 of an acre, and our Wildland Division remained on scene to address hazard trees," the post states.
RRFR took the opportunity to remind the community that despite recent rain, conditions remain dry enough for fires to ignite.
"Please stay alert, report any suspicious activity, and help us keep our open spaces safe," it warns.
RRFR has not responded to request for more information.
