Rio Rancho is getting snowed on this weekend, and it’s going to keep coming.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 11 p.m. Saturday.

The Rio Rancho Police Department put up a post on Facebook, warning residents of slick road conditions and advising them to minimize travel “unless absolutely necessary.”

Mayor Gregg Hull states the snow plows and sand trucks are deployed.

“If at all possible stay home. It’s easier for them to plow and sand if there aren’t any cars out,” he said.

Snow plow routes can be seen at rrnm.gov.
