RR Astronomical Society to celebrate Astronomy Day

RIO RANCHO — The Rio Rancho Astronomical Society is hosting its annual International Astronomy Day celebration May 3 at Rainbow Park Observatory.

To celebrate and educate, James Greenhouse, space science director of the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science will present the latest findings of NASA solar missions.

There will be family activities for all ages, including sun and star gazing, weather permitting. Food will be available for a donation.

Activities begin at 5 p.m. with the solar missions talk starting at 7:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
