RIO RANCHO – The City of Rio Rancho Rugby Club (CORRR) has big plans for the month of October that include Saturdays at the park and Halloween festivities.

To begin, CORRR hosts youth rugby games every Saturday at Haynes Park throughout the month of October. Kids are invited out to try the sport of rugby in a safe, instructional and inviting environment.

“Come give touch and flag rugby a try!” CORRR says on its Facebook page.

The league is divided into two age groups: U6-U8, which plays “touch rugby”, and U9-U14, which plays “flag rugby”.

CORRR Rookie Rugby takes place from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. on Oct. 5, 12, 19 and 26. Registration is $20. No experience needed.

On Oct. 26, CORRR is hosting its 2nd annual “Monster Mash Rugby Bash” at Haynes Park from 9 a.m.-noon. There will be touch rugby for all ages, as well as food and beverage vendors.

Admission is $10 for anyone 14 and older; children under 14 are free. The event will also include carnival games at 50-cents per ticket.
