Rio Rancho Public Schools to host superintendent search meetings

Published Modified

RIO RANCHO — Rio Rancho Public Schools and an executive search firm will host meetings this week to find out what qualities people would like to see in the school district's next superintendent.

Four meetings involving parents and community members will be held Oct. 15-16 in the RRPS boardroom, 500 Laser Road NE, according to a school district Facebook post.

Community feedback meetings are scheduled for 9:30-11 a.m. Oct. 15 and 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 16.

Parent feedback meetings are scheduled for 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 15 and 1-2:30 p.m. Oct. 16.

The meetings will be facilitated by Ray & Associates, the Minnesota-based search firm the school district hired to assist it with the search.

The stakeholder meetings come following the Sept. 17 announcement that RRPS Superintendent Dr. Sue Cleveland, the district's founding superintendent and the longest-serving in the state's history, will step down from her role in the spring.
