Red, White and Blue Run set for 4th of July

The Rio Rancho Aquatic Center and Loma Colorado Park will host the Red, White and Blue Run on July 4 from 6-10:59 a.m.

The event features a 10K, a 4-mile run or walk and a Kids K to jump-start the 4th of July celebrations. There will be both an in-person and virtual option this year. To register and learn more about the run, click here.

Proceeds from the event benefit RunFit afterschool youth running programs and the RunFit “Fifteen and Fit” youth running and fitness school-based programs all in the effort of helping to combat childhood obesity and keeping children fit.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

10K starts at 8 a.m.

4-MILER starts at 8:05 a.m.

KIDS K starts at 9:15 a.m.

PACKET PI CK-UP:

July 3 from noon-3 p.m. at the New Balance Store on Ellison.

START LOCATION:

The Start for the 10K and 4-Miler are located next to the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center and Loma Colorado Park. The Kids K Start and Finish is located at the Loma Colorado Park.

Race Day Registration and Timing Chip Pickup will be located at the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center.

RESULTS:

Results from the 10K and 4-Miler events will be posted on the RunFit website: www.irunfit.org.
