Rams boys wrestling shows up strong in Colorado
A Cleveland wrestler dominates his match as his Valley opponents look on.
CASTLE ROCK, Colorado – The Rams boys wrestling team headed north to Colorado this past weekend to face stiff competition at the Top of the Rockies event.
RRHS finished 15th out of 34 with a strong performance from Eli Archibeque, who took fifth in his weight class and scored his team 17 points.
“Every wrestler gave it their all, facing some tough new competition, said head coach Michael Santos on the team’s Instagram account. “Proud of the team’s effort!”
Elsewhere in the wrestling world, the Cleveland Storm girls are celebrating this week. Not only did they dominate their last dual, but star wrestler Jianna Coon nabbed her 100th career victory after taking 3rd at her last out-of-state tournament.
Next up, the Rams and the Storm both head to Piedra Vista for district quads.
