Rams and Storm continue solid season at recent meet
At the recent APS Meet hosted by Cibola, the girls Storm finished 4th and the Rams finished 3rd. On the boys side, the Rams finished 6th and the Storm 7th. The State Championship takes place Feb. 21-22 at the ABQ Academy Natatorium.

ALBUQUERQUE – The Storm and the Rams both hit the pool for creatively-named “APS Meet #7”, hosted by Cibola High School this past weekend.
Both the boys and the girls teams put up solid numbers and were neck-and-neck with one another in the final standings.
For the boys, the Rams finished sixth and the Storm seventh. RRHS swimmers Jacob Rice, Caleb Solis, Xavier King and Charles Scott all broke 20 points for their team, and Lucas Espinosa was the point leader for the Storm boys.
On the girls side, the Rams were led by Shannon Baiardo, Kostyn Perry, Yamileth Marquez and Taylon Ortiz, each of whom scored over 20 points. The Storm were helped along by first places event finishes from both Ava Schlosser and Lucia Pena (who scored an impressive 34 points).
