ALBUQUERQUE — Rio Rancho-based R4Creating took home the Excellence Award for the elementary division at the VEX IQ State Championships, advancing to the World’s Robotics Competition to be held in in Dallas in May.

More than 100 competitors from 20 New Mexico schools participated in the two-day competition, which was hosted by R4Creating.

The “We’re Figuring it Out” team took the top prize, advancing to May’s competition, the largest in the world.
