PNM donates backpacks, school supplies to tribal students
One hundred New Mexico pueblo students have new gear for the school year with a donation from PNM.
Backpacks stuffed with school supplies were delivered to the education departments in Santa Ana, San Felipe, Santo Domingo and Cochiti Pueblos as part of the PNM Back to School Supply Drive.
“We recognize education as the cornerstone of progress,” said Cathy Newby, PNM Tribal Government and Customer Engagement director. “This donation to New Mexico tribal students is a step towards reducing educational disparities and ensuring every child has an equal opportunity to succeed. Donations like this not only eases the burden on families but also fosters a sense of unity, showing that progress is possible through collaboration.”
The PNM donation is being delivered to elementary and middle school tribal students from the respective education departments.
