Placitas Library hosting Create to the Music for kids

Children will be able to create a piece of art inspired by the music they hear at Placitas Community Library Jan. 28 and Feb. 4.
The program will be led by visual artist and art teacher Shelley Miller and guitar teacher Genevieve Leitner.
The program is open to children ages 3-10.
Activities will include moving and dancing to guitar music, reflection on how the music makes one feel, an introduction to the guitar by Leitner and an art demonstration by Miller on creating a piece of art to express their music experience and more. Children will use the provided art materials to create their own piece of art inspired by the music. Final projects will be displayed in the Collin Meeting Room and Gallery at the library.
