PLACITAS — On Sept. 28 and Oct.5, Placitas Community Library will be hosting two financial workshops.

Altalune Wealth Advisors and Kelley and Ric Tredwin will lead the discussions. Currently, Altalune Wealth and the Tredwins are advising the Placitas Community Library about long-term investment strategies.

The two-part series aims to help people understand how you can share wealth and still make sure that you are taking care of yourself and your family.

The first workshop comes at 1 p.m. Sept. 25 and is called "Giving Makes Us Happy ... Let's talk about sharing wealth without worries."This workshop will discuss giving, from gifts for loved ones to giving to charities, and will discuss how to feel confident in distributing wealth while having enough for unexpected events.

The second workshop is set for 1 p.m. Oct. 5 and is entitled "QCDs: Charitable giving as a tax strategy." This workshop will go more in depth about this specific giving strategy when you have IRA assets and required minimum distributions (RMDs).
