The FBI and Rio Rancho Police Department are seeking public assistance to identify the “Tan Pants Bandit,” who robbed the First Financial Credit Union of Rio Rancho at approximately 5:15 p.m. on March 4.

“The suspect entered the Credit Union, demanded money from the teller. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect,” it reads in a release.

Suspect’s description:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Height: Approximately 5’7”
  • Build: stocky
  • Clothing: Black hat, Black face mask, Black hoodie, tan pants

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
