NM 528 crash under investigation with fatality
Ongoing incident closes roadway in both directions between Sara and Barbara

RIO RANCHO — A Monday morning vehicle crash on NM 528 was deemed fatal for one person. The roadway has been shut down in both directions between Sara Road and Barbara Loop.
"The incident is still ongoing and there are not many details," a Rio Rancho Police Department Public Information officer confirmed.
At about 10 a.m. RRPD confirmed the accident was a fatal one and that the roadway is still closed for investigation. The person that died was supposed to be airlifted to a hospital.
The crash involved a motorcyclist and a vehicle, according to RRPD.
