No injuries at Tap N Taco shooting

A verbal altercation at Tap N Taco, 1120 NM 528, resulted in several rounds being fired Saturday.
Sandoval County Regional Dispatch received the reports of shots fired at the restaurant at 12:30 a.m., and it was reported that a male fired several rounds after a verbal altercation. He fled the scene before officers arrived, but they were able to locate the subject later. Lorenzo Lozoya of Rio Rancho has been arrested for shooting from a motor vehicle and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Sandoval County Detention Center.
“Tap N Taco is making immediate changes to protect its customers and employees,” the restaurant wrote on Facebook. “We have hired security. We are thankful no one was hurt. We are here to support our customers to make this the best tacos and beer in town. Please note this was not related to our restaurant it was an altercation with guests as the RR police have reported.”
No injuries were reported.
