New Mexico Home and Remodeling expo at RR Events Center this weekend

The New Mexico Home and Remodeling Expo will take place this weekend, Jan. 20-21, at the Rio Rancho Events Center.

The event will have home improvement exhibits, product demonstrations and interactive vignettes for expo attendees.

“Perfect for both new homeowners and those who have lived in their homes for years. Whether you’re looking to update, enhance, or create a new look or amenity, our Home Show is for you,” a press release states.

David Griffin, communications officer for the expo, says the event owners and the city work closely to put on the event.

“Home shows were popular in the USA for decades, but the advent of the internet allows families to ‘do the walking with their fingers,’ so to speak. The elements that are the basis of the event purposefully introduce the citizens of Rio Rancho to the many terrific businesses that have become the basis of the great growth Rio Rancho has experienced,” he said.

The event will also have a kid’s cutest smile contest, which Griffin says helps with community involvement along with the Ten 82 foundation and first responders.

The expo will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
