Masks still required at hospitals
Don’t forget your mask if you have to visit UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center.
Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced Thursday that she was lifting the statewide mask mandate for most indoor public settings, effective immediately. However, that revision to the public health order continues the requirement that masks be worn in hospitals.
The University of New Mexico issued a statement that day, saying that consistent with the order, the medical branch of the Emergency Operations Command for UNM Hospital, UNM Medical Group and Sandoval Regional Medical Center will continue to require that masks be worn in all UNMH facilities, both clinical and non-clinical.
People should expect to wear masks inside other local hospitals as well.
