David Reichbach, 30, of Albuquerque, was summoned July 11 for burglary of a vehicle, larceny, criminal trespass and two counts of criminal damage to property at We Care Roofing.

The owner of We Care Roofing filed a burglary report in April when a damaged gate and missing items were discovered. Surveillance footage showed a dark sedan and an individual on the property. Forced entry was evident at various points, including the main entry gate and an enclosed trailer on the property. According to the report, the total property damage valued at more than $2,000, and stolen property amounted to $4,880.

Police conducted a walkthrough of the property with the property owner starting at the gate, noting the inside of the gate had been damaged and the lock that was damaged and on the ground. The owner also showed police a ladder against one of the property walls that was not in the area until the incident. Then he showed officers an enclosed trailer, which had a damaged side door. The lock to the door was also damaged and on the ground outside of the trailer. Several items were also missing from the trailer. A pickup truck next to the trailer also had tools stolen from the bed.

Later in the month, officers obtained more video surveillance from Defined Fitness and Jorgenson Orthodontics.

Police found the vehicle seen on surveillance belonged to Reichbach. Police made several attempts to contact him but were unsuccessful. It wasn't until June, when a burglary occurred in Clovis, that police were able to investigate further through phone records, and the investigation eventually lead to his summons in July.

Reichbach could face up to five years in prison if he is convicted.
