Man summoned for choking brother
Christopher Baldomar, about 42, of Rio Rancho, was summoned for aggravated battery on December 16 on the 800 block of Ivory Ct.
Officers were dispatched to the residence in reference to a domestic call in progress. The calling party said he was being choked by his brother.
When officers arrived they talked to the victim. Officers report that he was in obvious distress, unable to talk in complete sentences, couldn’t catch his breath, struggled to talk and appeared to be exhausted.
He said Baldomar left the residence and their father took him to “some crack whore’s” house in Albuquerque.
The victim said he and Baldomar were on the balcony and Baldomar asked him for the Wi-Fi password. He said he didn’t know it. The victim said Baldomar got upset and started “swinging” at him. He attempted to defend himself then went downstairs.
He said while they were downstairs the fighting continued. The victim said Baldomar got him in a head lock and then used both hands to choke him.
The victim didn’t remember if he lost consciousness but said he saw stars and had blurred vision.
He said he had a head ache and rubbed his head. A clump of hair fell off of his head when he did s0.
He said he feared that if Baldomar returned the fight would continue and would escalate.
Dispatch confirmed that Baldomar was on probation and parole. Police notified Probation and Parole and an arrest warrant was issued.
Baldomar will face up to three years in prison if he is convicted.
