Dominic Molina, 21, of Albuquerque, was arrested July 5 for receiving stolen property and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 2200 block of Solara Loop.

Officers responding to a reported assault found two females nearby, who were separated and said they had been invited to the house by Ronnie Chaves and Dominic Molina to have some drinks the previous night and that they ended up sleeping on the couch in the living room. They were woken up that afternoon by Molina and his fiancé, who began to yell at them to get out of the house. An argument ensued and became physical.

Molina then got a handgun and threatened the women with it, and the fled. They said Molina, still with the gun, got into his vehicle and followed them. They then called the police from a neighbor's house.

Molina and other witnesses at the scene gave a similar statement, though Molina said he did not take the gun with him when he got in his truck to follow the women.

If he is convicted, Molina could face three or more years.
