Man arrested for pointing gun at woman’s head in domestic incident
Nathan Dozier, 52, of Rio Rancho, was arrested March 15 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 1300 block of Northern Boulevard after a caller reported he received a message from a friend saying Dozier threatened her with a firearm.
She told police that she got into an argument with Dozier and that he pointed a gun at her head.
Dozier said that the gun was a BB gun and that he had given it to someone “to get it out of here before I used it or shot somebody with it.”
The victim said she thought the gun was real and that Dozier possesses a real gun, which the caller confirmed.
No gun was recovered by police.
Dozier will face a year and a half in prison if convicted.
