A man accused of murdering his wife on Acapulco Road March 25 will get a jury trial next year.
John Vallejos, 45, of Rio Rancho, was initially arrested for first-degree murder after reportedly shooting his wife, Roberta Valdez.
On May 13, Vallejos received a trial date of Sept. 8, 2025.
Additionally, the state recommends Vallejos be held without bond or bail before then.
