ALBUQUERQUE — An Albuquerque murder suspect is a Rio Rancho business owner.

A city of Rio Rancho license shows that Erick B. Pacheco, 54, of Albuquerque, who was arrested as a suspect in an Albuquerque murder July 11, owns Re-Cycled Man LLC in Rio Rancho. There is also a license under his name for RCM Janitorial, a local cleaning service.

Pacheco’s LinkedIn profile indicates he has owned the company since August 2009. Re-Cycled Man LLC also operates under the name “A New Awakening Rio Rancho,” which offers outpatient substance abuse treatment.

According to police reports, Pacheco is charged with the first-degree murder of Denise Duran at an apartment complex off of Zuni Road and Espanola Street. He allegedly fired a shotgun at her twice after a conversation took place at his truck window.

An unidentified person was also seen on the video firing a gun, apparently hitting Pacheco’s car.

Days later, another man driving Pacheco’s car was stopped by police. A search warrant of the car found a bullet hole in the front bumper, the documents said.

Pacheco was booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center. He could face life in prison if convicted.

The company did not respond to a request for comment.
