Junior Treasurers kick off semester

BERNALILLO — Sandoval County Treasurer Jennifer A. Taylor welcomed the Fall 2025 Junior County Treasurers to their term Aug. 6 at a reception held at the County Administrative Offices.
The four candidates, Isaac Baca, Faith Young, Danielle Moody and Michael Putkaradze, were selected for the program based on their essay applications in May.
“They are junior and senior students from local high schools. The semester-long program offers an overview of operations within the Treasurer’s Office, including property tax collection, allocation of collected funds to services, customer service training and more,” a release on the program states.
Taylor said she appreciates these students’ interest and willingness to explore and learn how government works, according to the release.
