‘Free to Provide’ campaign launches to bring medical professionals to New Mexico
The New Mexico Department of Health launched a new marketing campaign Monday to attract health care professionals to the state.
The campaign, “Free to Provide,” is designed to highlight the freedom that medical providers in New Mexico have to provide medical care and services restricted in other states.
“Providing health care is hard everywhere,” said NM Health Secretary Patrick Allen. “The legal and political environment in Texas and other states is making it even harder. We think there’s an opportunity to let providers know in New Mexico they can deliver care without the local sheriff or district attorney looking over their shoulder to second guess their medical judgement.”
The campaign will consist of paid advertising online, billboards and a website where interested providers can learn more. Aspects of the new campaign will run throughout metropolitan areas in Texas and Arizona. There are currently 37 public and private hospitals, medical centers, clinics and individual providers participating in the campaign.
The campaign highlights cultural, environmental, educational and recreational opportunities throughout New Mexico including:
- Tax incentives.
- Health professional loan repayment.
- Education.
- Work-life balance.
- New Mexico’s strong cultural heritage.
Organizations and individuals interested in being listed in the campaign recruitment directory can fill out an online form. For more information about the campaign and what New Mexico has to offer health care professionals, visit Free to Provide.
