Former Bosque Farms police chief running for Sandoval County Commission
SANDOVAL COUNTY — A local law enforcement officer is attempting to trade his handcuffs for a pen as he announces his run for county commission. E. Paul Linson announced his candidacy for Sandoval County Commissioner District 3 on March 12.
Linson, who has served 23 years in law enforcement and used to be a police chief in the village of Bosque Farms, is running on the platform of “boots-on-the-ground-leadership,” according to a release.
The longtime Rio Rancho resident and 20-year small business owner shared that he is a husband, father of five and grandfather. Because of this, his mission “is deeply personal: ensuring the community remains safe, prosperous, and resilient for future generations,” the release states.
In the release, Linson breaks down a “five-point plan” that prioritizes public safety through the full funding of the sheriff’s department and fire rescue.
His other priorities are for infrastructure that fixes existing roads, approves new developments, protecting water rights, attracting high-quality jobs to reduce commutes and serving as a watchdog for taxpayer dollars, it states.
“My life has been defined by a career in service, and I am ready to bring that same commitment to you as your next commissioner,” Linson said in the release. “I will ensure our government lives within its means while protecting the foundation of our community: our safety and our county.”
