Farmers Almanac says RR will have high precipitation this winter

The Farmers Almanac states Rio Rancho will have high precipitation chances this winter, starting in November.
“Winter will be colder than normal, with above-normal precipitation,” the almanac’s forecast reads.
Farmers Almanac says the coldest periods will be in late November, mid- and late December, and mid-January. Snowfall will be below normal in most areas that normally receive snow, with the snowiest periods in early to mid-January and early February.
Most of the U.S. will see what has been labeled as an El Niño winter, which means a wetter winter.
The past few winters have been described as La Niña, or dryer.
Snowfall amounts in Rio Rancho might not be extreme, though residents can expect at least a few days where snow is present.
The almanac’s highlight is the southern United States getting better water supply to areas that have been dry previous years.
