County issues public safety notice for pack of dogs

Due to a recent dog attack, the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 29 notified residents in the area of Hidalgo Road and Sandia Boulevard that a pack of dogs has been aggressive toward people and have attacked livestock.

“We have increased patrol in this area and adjoining areas and ask the public to please contact the Sandoval County Regional Communications Center at 505-891-7226 if you have seen this pack. Please do not approach and keep a safe distance from them,” a release states.

There are four or five dogs running in the pack, which possibly consists of pitbull mix and shepherd mix.
