Cleveland senior named a Daniels Scholar

A local student has been named a Daniels Scholar.

Ava Lowe, a senior at Cleveland High School, was one of 238 students recognized from Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. Scholars receive up to $100,000 to attend any two- or four-year nonprofit, accredited college or university in the United States.

More than 5,000 students have been awarded since 2000, totaling more than $250 million in financial assistance.
