The city of Rio Rancho staff will host three open house/public information events to provide details about the General Obligation Bond questions on the March 5 ballot. The ballot questions include a $10.6 million road bond, a $4.2 million public safety bond, and a $1.2 million quality-of -life facilities bond.

These events will allow members of the public to speak one-on-one with city staff about the bond questions and projects that, if voted for, would be funded by the bonds. Representatives from police, fire and rescue, public works, libraries and information services, and parks, recreation and community services will all be available to answer questions.

Sessions are set for 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, and Loma Colorado Public Library; 12-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at the Hub @ Enchanted Hills; and 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Haynes Community Center.

These events do not cover any city councilor positions appearing on the March 5 ballot, and no information will be provided or discussed regarding candidates.
