The city of Rio Rancho will be hosting Councilor Meet ‘n’ Greet events throughout summer.

Each city councilor will be hosting an event for their district with free ice cream, games, activities and demonstrations by city staff for all ages.

This weekend, it will be District 4 Councilor Paul Wymer’s turn.

Wymer’s Meet ‘n’ Greet will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vista Sandia Park, 100 Parkside Road SE, on Aug. 10.

The meet and greet events are designed to provide a family friendly way for all Rio Rancho residents to meet with their elected city councilor as well as key City staff,” Wymer said. “I’m looking forward to chatting with my constituents and hearing from them of any concerns or issues they may have. Come out and enjoy some ice cream and gather some fun Rio Rancho ‘swag.’ This is a great opportunity to talk one on one with the people making decisions impacting our wonderful city.”

Wymer was elected as District 4 City Councilor in 2020 to a four-year term. He was re-elected to a second term in March.

The schedule for remaining the Meet ‘n’ Greet events is:

  • District 2 Councilor Jeremy Lenentine: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Havasu Park, 3535 Havasu Falls St. NE.
  • District 3 Councilor Bob Tyler: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 7 at Mountain View Park, 6441 Grayson Hills Drive NE.
  • District 5 Councilor Karissa Culbreath: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at Chianti Park, 1210 Chianti Road SE.
