City Councilor Dapson hosting Meet 'n' Greet event this weekend
The city of Rio Rancho will be hosting Councilor Meet ‘n’ Greet events throughout summer.
Each city councilor will be hosting an event for their district with free ice cream, games, activities and demonstrations by city staff for all ages.
On June 8, District 6 Councilor Nicole List hosted the first Meet ‘n’ Greet at Rio Vista Park.
This weekend, it’s District 1 Councilor Deb Dapson’s turn.
Dapson will host her event from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. July 20 at at Rainbow Pool, 301 Southern Blvd. SE.
“The Summer Meet ‘n Greet is an exciting opportunity to meet and have a chance to talk with the residents in my district. The event is great for people of all ages. We have free ice cream, games, activities, giveaways, and demonstrations provided by City staff,” Dapson said “The District 1 event will offer hands-only CPR demonstrations, the police department’s mobile command unit and more from other city departments. The Rio Rancho Rainbow Park Observatory will also be open for the event. I would encourage all District 1 residents to come join us.”
Dapson, who was elected as District 1 City Councilor in April via a runoff election, and her husband have lived in Rio Rancho for 15 years. She is a mother to three grown children and grandmother to three.
Dapson owns Copper Moon Media, a small business in Rio Rancho that specializes in graphic design and digital marketing. She is also a former president of the Kiwanis Club and chair of Association of Women in Communications Program Committee.

District 2 Councilor Jeremy Lenentine: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Havasu Park, 3535 Havasu Falls St. NE.
District 3 Councilor Bob Tyler: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at Mountain View Park, 6441 Grayson Hills Drive NE.
District 5 Councilor Karissa Culbreath: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at Chianti Park, 1210 Chianti Road SE.
District 4 Councilor Paul Wymer: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 3 at Vista Sandia Park, 100 Parkside Road SE..
