CHS football alum declares for the 2025 NFL Draft

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Former Cleveland High School football player Tre Watson officially announced that he is declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.
“This has been a lifelong dream that I’ve worked towards and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to compete at the highest level, “ Watson said on his Instagram account.
Watson, a tight end, played his final season for Texas A&M; he had 21 catches, 280 yards, and one receiving touchdown. He is the fifth Aggie to declare which includes projected first-round pick edge rusher Nic Scourton.
In his final game against USC (2024 Las Vegas Bowl), Watson had five targets, three catches, and 42 receiving yards.
Watson played his first three seasons for Fresno State where he earned an Honorable Mention All-Mountain West nod in 2023. During that season, he had 38 catches, 378 receiving yards, and four touchdowns.
Watson has pro-typical size as he is currently listed at 6 feet 5 inches, and 250 pounds.
To improve his draft stock, Watson will most likely participate in the upcoming Texas A&M pro day (date is TBD), and the NFL Combine Feb. 27 (if he gets invited).
The 2025 NFL Draft starts April 24 at 6 p.m. and lasts three days.
