Breaking: Large police activity at Serena and Meadowlark

A heavy police presence was on scene at Serena and Meadowlark near the Senior Center Wednesday afternoon.

Around 1 p.m., law enforcement arrived in the area. By 3 p.m., dozens of law enforcement vehicles were on scene. Officers from Rio Rancho Police Department, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, State Police and SWAT members were in the area. A police helicopter and a drone were also circling the area.
