APD and RRPD SWATs team up in RR arrest of juvenile

A suspect in a firearm incident in Downtown Albuquerque was arrested at his home in Rio Rancho April 30 by a combination effort of Albuquerque SWAT and Rio Rancho SWAT.

"Our detectives were investigating a juvenile who threatened several individuals with a firearm outside a charter school in downtown Albuquerque earlier in April. Detectives coordinated with APD SWAT, Rio Rancho PD and Rio Rancho SWAT to arrest the suspect for his warrant outside his home in Rio Rancho. He was booked at JDC. Detectives executed a warrant on the residence and seized fentanyl, firearms parts, ammunition and cellphones. A search warrant will be executed on the vehicle to seize his firearm," APD SWAT reported.
