6th graders, freshmen get a jump start on new school year
Sixth graders and ninth graders in Rio Rancho Public Schools kicked off the 2023-24 school year with a Jump Start Day Wednesday.
Incoming sixth graders and freshmen were able to tour their new schools, find their classrooms, meet teachers and staff, get to know the clubs and organizations hosted by their school and participate in get-to-know-you activities.
All other students began the school year Thursday.
