1. City of Rio Rancho's Food Truck Fiesta is 10 a.m. to 3 p. Saturday from at Cabezon Park. Admission is free. There will be a variety of food trucks, craft vendors, face painters, henna, magicians and the awarding of the "favorite food truck."

2. On Sunday, Coronado Historic Site will offer a paper flower workshop from 1-4 p.m. The workshop is included with admission of $7, and admission for children 16 and younger is free. The paper flowers will be used for the site's community ofrenda that will debut at the upcoming Fiesta of Cultures Oct. 19. Instructional coordinator and supervisor Jessica Coyle will teach attendants to make paper marigold flowers.

3. Ranger Read & Learn is set for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Martha Liebert Public Library in Bernalillo. Admission is free. The Ranger & Read event is presented by Coronado Historic Site. "Drop! An Adventure through the Water Cycle" by Emily Kate Moon will be read, and then visitors can make a water-based craft. Also in attendance will be The Department of Cultural Affairs Wonders on Wheels mobile museum, which will have its exhibit "Growing New Mexico/Creciendo Nuevo México," available for viewing. The featured exhibit was created by New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

4. The 28th annual Corrales Ditch Run is Sunday at the Corrales Recreation Center with the earliest race starting at 7:30 a.m. The Corrales Ditch Run is put on by the Kiwanis Club of Corrales and is in partnership with Dave Gives Back Foundation, which raises funds for Search and Rescue and Mountain Safety Education, and honors the life of David Cook. All proceeds will go to help support and maintain the annual Kids Kamp that takes place every June in Vanderwagon, New Mexico. Races offered include a half marathon, a 5K, a 10K, a kids' run, and the second annual Search & Rescue Technical Challenge, where teams of four SAR members compete for a trophy. There will also be food, music, local vendors, and every registered runner over age 21 receives a free beer from Ex-Novo. The Corrales Ditch Run is put on by the Kiwanis Club of Corrales.

5. The Fall Speaker Series begins at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Historic Old San Ysidro church in Corrales. Lorraine Dominguez Stubblefield and Yolanda Darrington lead the segment entitled, "Abuelas Remedies: New Mexico Remedies Taught by our Grandmothers." The event is free and open to the public. 6. Funday at Gisewa will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Jemez Historic Site. The funday will offer a variety of activities and demonstrations including dancing, art, hands-on activities, pueblo food and a corn roast in an adobe horno. The event is presented by the Jemez Historic Site, and admission is $7 for adults and free to children 16 and younger. The Jemez Historic Site is located at 18160 NM-4, Jemez Springs.
