1. Handel’s Messiah is coming to Cleveland High School at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 21. The New Mexico Philharmonic and the Luminaire Choir performs the world’s most beloved scared symphonic work. 2. Sparrow Dance Productions is bringing “The Nutcracker and the Land of the Sweets Trading Company” to the African American Performing Arts Center Dec. 20-22. The production’s first show comes on Dec. 20, and tickets are on sale now at sparrowdanceNM.com or at Sparrow Dance Productions, 103 Rio Rancho Drive NE, Suite D6, Rio Rancho. The three performances of the show are 7 p.m. Dec. 20 and Dec. 21, and 2 p.m. Dec.22. The African American Performing Arts Center is located at 310 San Pedro Drive NE, Albuquerque.
3. Comedian Steve Gillespie is performing at Quezada’s Comedy Club & Cantina Dec. 20-21. Shows on both days will be at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Quezada’s Comedy Club is located at 54 Jemez Canyon Dam Road, Bernalillo. Tickets can be bought at quezadas.com.
4. Warhammer Rio Rancho Annual Holiday Party is coming from 3-10 p.m. Dec. 21. Warhammer will have free food, in store fun, “Da Grand Squig Race,” Snowball Fights, “Red Gobbo” Secret Gift Exchange and some awards. Warhammer is located at 4300 Ridgecrest Drive SE # B, Rio Rancho.
5. Growers Holiday Market is coming to Corrales from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 22. The Holiday Market will be located at 500 Jones Road, Corrales.
