Loving Thunder Therapeutic Riding, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit in Corrales, has partnered with the Equus Film & Arts Fest and The Mustang Summit three-day event for the first-ever Albuquerque presentation.
The event runs Nov. 16-19.
The Mustang Summit is a platform for Mustang enthusiasts to learn, express views, share experiences and discuss issues on an open stage and in a conversationally safe space. The Mustang Summit will focus on discussions of off-range Mustang topics and issues. There will be six yearling Mustangs who will be available for adoption after the event. The yearlings will be worked with over the three days of the Mustang Summit with six Mustangers.
Horse training demonstrations will be held daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Loving Thunder’s 1 Calle Caballo, Corrales, property. The trainings will be filmed and used by horse enthusiasts and trainers across the U.S. and internationally.
The Equus Fest film showings will be held in the evenings at Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town. The Equus Fest Art showings will be at Chaco Hotel in Old Town Albuquerque.
Loving Thunder will host the VIP dinner for attendees on Nov. 16. This will be an opportunity for VIP event attendees to meet equine authors, trainers, presenters and artists. Event planners are estimating approximately 750 attendees. The video trainings will be viewed for years to come nationally and internationally by horse trainers and riders. Loving Thunder Therapeutic Riding’s mission for this opportunity is to showcase and present the benefits of equine-assisted services and therapies.
