Children's, youth chorus registration upen through end of August

The Rio Rancho Creative Crossroads Children's and Youth Chorus is open for registration until Aug. 31.
The children's chorus is composed of kids in second through fifth grades, and the youth chorus is grades six through 12.
Rehearsals will begin Aug. 24 at the Star Heights Recreation Center. The chorus will perform in concert Dec. 7-8 at St. Francis Episcopal Church.
The artistic director for both choruses is Michelle Zetterholm. According to a release, Zetterholm is an Albuquerque native who was raised in the musical world.
"Beginning with children’s chorus at a young age, through currently singing as a member of the Opera Southwest chorus, she has always had a love for singing and making music when any opportunity arises," the release reads.
She is also a trained violist who teaches a small studio of violin and viola students at home.
