Brick Fest Live is coming to Rio Rancho

Brick Fest Live, a family event for fans of LEGO bricks, will be making a stop in Rio Rancho this spring.

The event featuring hands-on attractions and activities engineered to inspire, educate, and entertain with LEGO bricks, will be at the Rio Rancho Events Center May 25 and 26.

Highlights of the event include:

  • Life-sized models built from tens of thousands of bricks;
  • Costumed characters;
  • A giant pit filled with 200,000 bricks to dive in for photos;
  • A glow zone where people can build with glow-in-the dark bricks to display under a black light;
  • A graffiti wall, mosaic gallery and floor mural that people can add to; and
  • Derby races where people can race the vehicles they build.

“Brick Fest Live is a family Lego event,” said CJ Donovan, Brick Fest Live’s senior show manager. “It’s the No. 1 most-attended family Lego event in the country. The show is designed for families and children with a lot of things to see and do.”

There are also opportunities for shopping and for people to build with LEGO bricks.
