Astronomical Society to meet June 14
The Rio Rancho Astronomical Society will feature James Carr, professional photographer and amateur astronomer, at its monthly meeting June 14.
Carr's presentation will be "The Astronomy Observing Kit — What's in it (and Why) for an Enjoyable Night Under the Stars," which will provide a checklist and tips and advice on the "whats and whys" of the list.
The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Rainbow Park Observatory, 301 Southern Blvd., with telescopes available for public stargazing after the meeting, weather permitted. It is free and open to the public
