CIRCUIT COURT
MARATHON COUNTY
IN THE INTEREST OF:
NOTICE AND ORDER OF HEARING
(FOR PUBLICATION)
ASA C. MARTIN; DOB: 07/13/2006
Case No. 23JC12
TO: Samantha J. Cassin, LKA 734 3rd Street SW, Rio Rancho, NM 87124
IT IS ORDERED:
That this Notice be published advising you that a Petition for Protection or Services has been filed regarding the above-named child. This Petition will be heard on May 4, 2023, at 8:10 AM at the Marathon County Courthouse, 500 Forest Street, Wausau, WI, 54403, in Courtroom A.
The Petition filed in this case alleges that your child is in need of protection and services, pursuant to Wisconsin Statute Sections 48.13(1), because the child is without a parent or guardian, and 48.13(10), because the parent, guardian, or legal custodian is neglecting, refusing or is unable or unavailable to provide necessary care and supervision for the child.
IF YOU FAIL TO APPEAR, the Court will enter a no contest plea on your behalf to the allegation that your child is in need of protection and services. The Court will find that you have been properly served in this case and, by your failure to appear, that you have waived your right to contest the allegation that your child is in need of protection and services, that you have waived the right to a trial by jury in this case, that you have waived the right to substitute judges, and that you have waived the right to be represented by counsel. The Court will find that you have waived your right to have the County prove its allegations by clear and convincing evidence. The Court will schedule the matter for a dispositional hearing, at which time evidence will be presented as to the disposition of the cases, including where the child should be placed.
The Court finds that it is necessary to identify the above-named child by name given the need to properly notify the parent, and that it is necessary to identify the case number to this action. The Court hereby Orders that this information be included in any notice published.
If you require reasonable accommodations due to a disability to participate in the court process, please call 715-261-1300 prior to the scheduled court date. Please note that the court does not provide transportation.
