January Corrales crime and safety update
Jan. 5• A vehicle was stopped for speeding on Loma Larga near Camino Todos Los Santos, and the driver was found to be wanted on an outstanding Rio Rancho Municipal Court bench warrant for failure to appear concerning prior traffic violations. The 37-year-old Albuquerque woman was cited for speeding and booked into the Sandoval County Detention Center on the outstanding warrant.
Jan. 9• A subject house-sitting for a resident of Los Arboles Verde Road filed a report alleging that items were stolen from the home, which had no signs of forced entry, while he was out during the night of Jan. 8.
Jan. 12• A report was filed concerning a utility trailer being stolen from a yard on Calle De Blas at an unknown time during the preceding five days. Store vehicles and equipment within a secure garage, shed or barn whenever possible and utilize theft-deterrent devices such as hitch and wheel locks on trailers.
Jan. 13• A resident thought the driver of a pickup threw something at her car at Loma Larga Road and West Meadowlark. She followed the truck and a road rage incident ensued.
Jan. 15• A resident of West La Entrada filed a report alleging that her garage was forcibly entered and the keys to her two cars (which were parked inside) were taken, but the vehicles were not.
• A resident on Cottonwood Lane reported that the license plate was stolen from her vehicle at an unknown time or location during the preceding day or night.
Jan. 18
• A resident of Judy Court reported a suspicious vehicle parked on the street. The pickup truck was confirmed as stolen from a neighboring jurisdiction and was impounded pending release to the owner.
Jan. 22• A resident of Alamos Road reported that a pickup truck with the keys left inside had been stolen from his property that afternoon.
Jan. 30• A resident reported that she completed a funds transfer to purchase an animal which was listed for sale via social media, then realized that she had been scammed.
