The Crepe Corner sets up shop on THE BLOCK
RIO RANCHO — The Crepe Corner on THE BLOCK in Enchanted Hills officially opened its doors on the morning of Dec. 7.
“When I approached the owner [of THE BLOCK] with my idea, she was very supportive and was like, ‘Chase your dreams; go do it,’” Tiffany Gravelle, THE BLOCK’s COO, said. “It was with their support that I was able to bring The Crepe Corner into fruition.”
At 11 a.m., a line began to form outside of The Crepe Corner with tons of people wanting to try the signature French pancake.
“It was really important to us to curate local restaurants to create a really unique and fun atmosphere for a wide variety of choices,” Gravelle said.
The Crepe Corner sells coffee, savory and sweet crepes, and many other items.
“We came from Home Depot. We were hungry, and we decided to come here. The place looks pretty good,” customer Christian Haas said.
Some of the items on the menu include the colorful Unicorn Crepe, the zesty Garden Delight Crepe, and their signature Orange Delight, which is a hot white chocolate drink with an “orange finish.”
“I got the pizza crepe with green chile. I have been waiting for it to open, and it finally opened. I am excited to try it,” Christopher Ramirez, an employee at Lotus & Lemongrass at THE BLOCK, said.
According to Gravelle, the pizza crepe was a menu item that was created by some workers who attend Cleveland High School.
The shop also has a traditional French flare with each customer being greeted with a “Bonjour” and each employee sports a black beret.
“We are really proud to bring a little of France to Rio Rancho,” Gravelle said. “Whether you love sweet or you love savory, we have got you covered — full stomach, full heart.”
The Crepe Corner at THE BLOCK is open seven days a week: from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays; and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
