RIO RANCHO — Scooter’s Coffee in Rio Rancho, located on Southern Boulevard, has permanently closed.

The Southern location is now empty: all menu items, and most Scooter’s decor, have been taken down.

There was a piece of paper left at the drive-thru speaker and at the main pickup window that read, “To our dear customers, this location is now closed. It has been a pleasure serving you. Please come see us at our Bernalillo location, 560 NM-528 by Enchanted Hills. Thank you, your Scooter’s team.”

The Rio Rancho Scooter’s Coffee location celebrated its ribbon cutting on Sept. 1, 2023, and just over a year later they made the decision to close the location.

Scooter’s Coffee now has two locations in the surrounding area: one in Bernalillo (Enchanted Hills), and one in Albuquerque (Uptown area).
