Rio Rancho’s Shaw promoted to regional sales manager

First Tactical, a California company that produces public safety products, announced the promotion of six individuals recently, including Rio Rancho resident Steven Shaw, within its sales team, recognizing their “dedication, expertise and outstanding contributions to the company’s success.”

Shaw was promoted to regional sales manager, Rocky Mountain Region.

According to a press release, “Shaw’s lifelong dedication to public safety and community leadership has been instrumental in his role as a sales representative since joining First Tactical in 2015. With over 30 years of experience in law enforcement and tremendous involvement in community organizations, Steven embodies the qualities of a true leader and servant to his community. Steven is a proud graduate of both Northwestern University School of Police Staff & Command (90th Class), and the FBI National Academy, Session 209. His promotion to Regional Sales Manager, Rocky Mountain Region, accentuates his continued commitment to advancing law enforcement standards and practices.”

Shaw is a 39-year resident of Rio Rancho who retired from Rio Rancho Police Department, served on the city council in District 4 from 2008-12; has been a member of the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce since 1992; served on the Haven House board for 12 years and worked with the Alzheimer’s Association of New Mexico for eight years.
