Perfection Honda adding service bays for EVs

The Rio Rancho Governing Body approved a site plan on Dec. 14 for Perfection Honda to add a separate garage dedicated to servicing electric vehicles.

The garage would be built on the northwest side of Perfection Honda on The American Road. The site plan shows the new construction on site to be 4,084 square feet.

“This project serves the emerging needs of the auto industry’s move to electric vehicles. Our project utilizes existing space on a very large space dedicated to Perfection Honda. This project will serve the needs of the city of Rio Rancho by providing a service center for electric car buyers,” architect Daniel Puzak wrote to the city in the application.

Puzak added that the space is already owned by Perfection Honda, would downsize the parking spaces by 16 spaces and the proposed building would meet the city’s requirements.

He also promises the project would provide jobs for Rio Rancho.

The site plan was approved unanimously.
